Thanksgiving is the day that so many in America pause in our busy lives and give thanks.  I have so many things I'm thankful for (you can read about those here if you're interested!), but here are some health and fitness things that I'm thankful for!

While it's not "official" tradition - every other year since 2011....I have been newly pregnant on thanksgiving.  So it's a holiday that will always pull at my heart strings because of that.  I remember going to my cousins house in 2011 (I even remember what I was wearing and that I needed to dye my hair!!)...I had just gotten a positive pregnancy test and hadn't even told Jimmy yet. It was my little secret-- mainly I didn't want to tell him because we had been trying for over 6 months and had felt disappointment, that I didn't want to tell him until I knew "for sure"- haha!  Then I'm 2013, SURPRISE!! Maddie was coming ;). We were in shock with her- so we waited to share the news until around Christmas.  And then 2015- it was a casual "hey, we are having another baby!" at thanksgiving festivities (pregnant with my now 4 month old, Mikey!). What I'm thankful for so much is 3 wonderful pregnancies.  I was healthy (not always comfortable, but healthy!!), my babies were all healthy and the result was always a wonderful little human screaming at the top of their lungs.  A woman's body does COMPLETELY amazing things in growing a human.  It literally blows my mind whenever I take a longer than normal glance at my kiddos and think "they grew that {name a body part} inside of me!".  How thankful I am for the ability to get pregnant and stay pregnant.  I know there are so many women, many of my friends, that still are longing to get pregnant and become a mother.  I'm thankful how resilient we are as women and how as our bodies transform to grow these little humans, our hearts and minds are going through a transformation as well.  Sometimes we doubt ourselves for lots of reasons - are we a good enough mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister, employee, etc.   But in these transformations, I'm grateful that our mind and body can do things we never thought they could.  If you would have told me that I would give birth to 3 kids in just under 4 years...all between 8-9 lbs....and have the ability in between them to find time to take care of myself and my body - I would have said you're CRAZY.  But our body's and mind's are pretty amazing things.  I'm thankful that I kept searching for what was just right for me.  I'm thankful that my friend, Emily, told me that she got the 21 day fix from my coach after I texted her about an infomercial.  Because it's given me the chance to be thankful for me and my body.  I've put it through ups and downs these last 4 years - growing babies every other Thanksgiving and then trying to work that baby weight off in between.  But it never fails on me.  I put in the effort and my body shows up and give me energy and strength that I need as a mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister, employee, etc. I hope you're taking time to be with your family and friends this holiday and saying your prayers for those that are special to you.   God blessed us all in different ways, but each way is so special.  Remember to indulge a little because you deserve it - and don't beat yourself up if you eat or drink a little too much. This is LIFE.  Let's enjoy it.  And know that tomorrow is a new day and a new start.    Thanks for stopping by and a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family's!

I'm thankful for this guy and my three little turkey's :)
